Intelligent transportation system has become an essential part of the country's road management system, and the method that has the greatest potential for achieving various goals has an image processing-based approach. One of these goals is to manage the freight fleet in the country.
Load and especially overload have a destructive effect on roads and bridges, and monitoring of it can increase the life of roads and their structures. In this paper, a method for detecting loads in heavy vehicles is presented using image processing and intelligent training. This method, with the help of many positive and negative patterns, enables the ability to identify of heavy vehicles with load from heavy vehicles without load with the accuracy of 87%.
